Embedded Ethernet Modules & Industrial I/O Controllers
From W5500-based SPI Ethernet interfaces to Ethernet relay boards, remote digital output modules and custom industrial IoT controllers. Nex-G Automation designs and builds embedded hardware in Hubballi, Karnataka for industrial projects across India.
Adding Ethernet to Industrial Equipment
Many industrial products need a wired network connection: a controller that must be reached from a PC or PLC, a data logger that reports to a server, or a relay board that switches loads on command. An embedded Ethernet module gives a microcontroller that connection without writing a full network stack.
The WIZnet W5500 is a widely used SPI Ethernet controller for this purpose. It has a hardwired TCP/IP stack, an integrated 10/100 Ethernet PHY and eight independent sockets, so a small microcontroller can talk TCP or UDP over a standard RJ45 connection. W5500 RJ45 modules are a common building block for embedded Ethernet designs.
Nex-G Automation works at the product level. We design the PCB, write the firmware, build the enclosure-ready board and supply working Ethernet I/O modules, industrial relay boards and custom industrial controllers, rather than only selling loose breakout boards.
If you need a ready-made unit, start with our Ethernet relay controller. If you need something specific to your machine or plant, we can design a custom industrial IoT controller around your I/O, protocol and enclosure requirements.
What Is an Ethernet I/O Module?
It is a hardware unit that connects digital inputs or outputs, such as relays, to an Ethernet network. Commands and status are exchanged over TCP/IP, so equipment can be switched and monitored from a computer or control system.

How an Embedded Ethernet Control Board Works
The same flow applies to relay boards, I/O modules and custom controllers.
Command Sent
A PC, PLC or application sends a supported command over the Ethernet network.
Ethernet Interface
The RJ45 Ethernet interface, such as a W5500 SPI module, handles TCP/IP communication.
Microcontroller
Firmware reads the command, checks it and decides the output action.
Output Switches
A relay or digital output changes state, and status can be reported back.

Information That Helps
Number and type of inputs and outputs, voltage and current of the loads, supply voltage, communication needs (Ethernet, RS485, Wi-Fi, GSM), environment, and the expected quantity.
Also share how the controller will be commanded: from a PC, a PLC, SCADA or a cloud dashboard, so the right command interface can be designed.
Electrical Safety Note
Relay and output ratings must match the connected load. Motors and inductive loads may need additional protection or contactors. Installation should be done by qualified personnel.
